LEADERSHIP
Franco Calderón is the Founder and Chief Facilitator at Latambusiness.org. , where he collaborates with a team of highly-connected and seasoned Latin America experts across business, policy making, government, and academia.
Franco’s extensive and nuanced understanding of the various Latin America’s business environments and the constituencies that affect them, allows him to advance the interests of his clients efficiently and effectively. Prior to founding Latambusiness.org, Franco founded and led the Latin Retail Connection, a business development consultancy that was instrumental in the successful expansion of dozens of renown international brands both within the United States and throughout Latin America.
Franco obtained a Masterclass Certificate in Negotiation from Harvard Law School, has a Master’s Degree in International Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies with emphasis in Economics and Business in Latin America from the University of Texas at Austin.
Franco is a husband, father and a world traveler. He is an active participant in internationally recognized trade forums. Franco is a multi-cultural, multi-lingual hyper networker, fluent in Spanish and English, functional in Portuguese and Italian, and in his very limited time studies Russian and Mandarin Chinese.
